Empowering Women - Workplace Sexual Harassment Prevention.

About Us

Fresh out of college we are waiting to start our stint in the corporate world. We have varied interests like reading, trekking, driving etc. The cause of women empowerment is dear to us, and we would like to do all that we can to support this cause and take it forward. A little more about the 5 of us:

Abhijoy Sarkar:  PGDM from IIM Ranchi. B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. From Kolkata. Previously worked with HelpAge India in their fund collection activities. I believe education, training and awareness will be the cornerstones of this movement towards emancipation.

Abhinav Gupta : PGP IIM Rohtak.  B.E. Production Engineering , PEC ChandigarhFrom Pilibhit in UP

Anuj Sharma: I am from from xlri Jamshedpur... Thanks to a village exposure program got to see the plight of working women of the villages... Hence this cause!!

Arjun Kurane: MBA from SCMHRD, Pune . B.com from Pune. Being an outgoing person, and having been brought up in an environvement where everyone was treated equal, i believe that this should be the norm everywhere and hence this campaign assumes significance for me.

Mayank Gupta: PGDIM from NITIE, Mumbai. B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Panjab University. From Chandigarh. Bringing about a meaningful change, I believe, will require a sea-change in the mindset of the people of the country, with both men and women striving for and walking towards equality and equity.

 

About the cause

Women are playing bigger and more substantial roles in all spheres: as workers, consumers, entrepreneurs, managers and investors. But there still exist many who are not treated at par or are denied opportunities. We all have grown up and studied in an environment where equal opportunities and equal treatment was just and we would like to take this forward and make sure that we do our bit to help those who are still not treated unfairly. The issue of women's safety at the workplace hence assumes a lot of significance for us, and we think that no matter where a women is she must feel safe, and not have to compromise on opportunities that come her way because of this.

The funds raised through this campaign will go to fund the activities of an NGO working towards this cause.
