8th Out Loud - Pune International Queer Film Festival

The Out & Loud Pune International Queer Film Festival (PIQFF), powered by MIST, is an annual event showcasing handpicked queer films from all over the world. What’s more!? The festival promises an amazing line-up of performances and thought-provoking panel discussions. Besides coming together for the love of art and cinema, the festival will also be an open platform for the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Queer) to voice their concerns in a social-friendly environment.

The first Out & Loud – PIQFF was held in Pune in April of 2017 to an overwhelming response. In April 2020 due to Covid 19 we had to move the festival Virtual, we are ready to present you with the Seventh edition of Out & Loud – PIQFF on May 2024. Our aim is to have a bigger and better event for you, with an all-new line-up of movies, performances and panel discussions.

Mist was an LGBTQ collective started in Bengaluru in 2009 and now has members in Pune and Hyderabad as well. And is a registered as Mist LGBTQ Foundation. We organize events in various cities in collaboration with local groups. We also have a vibrant online presence supporting its events on the ground.

MIST aims to build stronger bonds within the queer community and with our allies through events like the Out and Loud - Pune International Queer Film Festival. We do our best to create a space where you can showcase your talent, learn from other members of the community and be a part of the larger family. MIST runs solely on community events and contributions from members of the LGBTQ community and our allies. And with the COVID-19 pandemic, this has reduced by 70%. We have also learned that the technology for moving online is more expensive than a physical event. So we request you to help us reach our target to bring you a bigger and more fun PIQFF in 2021. Be it online or offline based on state-mandated guidelines.

The funds will help pay for the following:

Venue Cost- 100000 Per Day

Equipment's Hire - 40000

Guest expenses - 60000

License / others - 6000

Volunteer expenses - 20000

Festival Catalog - 30000

Printing Cost - 40000

Giveaways - 30000

Miscellaneous - 20000 

All Donations will get a tax benefit under Sec 80G. No contribution is small so please donate whatever amount you feel comfortable with. Thank you so much and hope to see you there!
