Hello,
 
I'm Chinmay Sharma , a student of Mount Litera School International. I pledge to raise funds for The Wishing Factory, with an aim to spread joy and fulfilling the wishes of young Thalassemia Warriors in India.
 
About The Wishing Factory
 

The Wishing Factory is an 80G and ISO certified (ISO 9001:2015), registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving and enriching the lives of young, underprivileged Thalassemia Warriors in India. Since our genesis in 2015, we have expanded our operations to 8 Indian cities impacting 2500+ patients in the areas of Healthcare, Experiences, Education and Patient Welfare Activities. Our mission is to provide Thalassemia patients with state of the art healthcare facilities and psycho social support while simultaneously working towards our vision of making India Thalassemia free and raising awareness about the importance of a Thalassemia Test.  

What is Thalassemia Major?
 
Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder in which the body makes an abnormal form of hemoglobin. Thus, patients suffering from Thalassemia Major do not have normal healthy red blood cells and need blood transfusions every 15 days just to survive. While regular transfusions greatly contribute to the quality and length of life of Thalassemia major patients, they also leave patients with an excess of iron in their bodies.
 
 
By means of this campaign each student of Mount Litera School would be raising Rs. 17,232 which is the cost required to support the blood transfusion-related expenses of 1 Thalassemia Major patient for a period of one year. 
 
Blood Filters are used by patients during every transfusion to filter out the antibodies that are present in the donor's blood, and thus help in preventing infections and post transfusion reactions. The campaign would be able to support patients from economically weaker sections of society who cannot afford quality healthcare and blood filters for a safe blood transfusion experience. 
 
Donations made to The Wishing Factory are eligible for Tax Exemption under Section 80G.
