Support Vasantha priya to Raise Funds for the Disabled Section of our Society

There is a need to rehabilitate the youth of our country through proper employment. In 2020, the estimated underprivileged youth unemployment rate in India was at 23.75% (source: International Labour Organisation).

For the past decade, India’s youth unemployment rate has been hovering around the 22% mark. Rural youth are migrating to urban areas, as they are badly struck by drought. Disabled youth also face social discrimination; they have poor access to education / employment. It is estimated that in developing countries, 80-90% of disabled persons of working age are unemployed. Issues faced by them include but are not limited to the lack of employable skills, poor communication and presentation skills, negative employer attitude and lack of accessible infrastructure, which include ramps, wheelchairs, software and transport. This point towards the need of finding an alternative livelihood for these youth who are in dire need of better employment.

30% of the total money raised will be used on visually impaired young adults from the underprivileged background and assist them in securing a job.

We hope to impact at least 20 youth with this donation money.

We had a very successful project with GBS which helped 106 number of people get jobs so far.
