We Shall Overcome-Rainbow Voices Mumbai in Concert

For this landmark concert, Rainbow Voices Mumbai, India's first LGBT choir will join forces with the Pink Singers from London (Europe's longest running LGBT choir) at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, India’s premier cultural institution.

Our goal for this performance is to create awareness about the issues that face the LGBT community as it struggles still to find an identity in modern day India. With the transformative power of music we wish to imagine a future free of discrimination, oppression, ignorance and prejudice, to speak for the voiceless, the silenced, and those awakening to who they are, and to encourage compassion and activism.

The Pink Singers adds an international voice to our performance goal. It demonstrates the singular solidarity that is shared among the LGBT community throughout the world.

Money from this campaign goes directly to support the NCPA rental, performance licenses, ticketing, programs, publicity, sound, lighting, recording, costumes and make up, and accompanists.
