Support Akshay Kumar to raise funds for Youth For Seva

Dear Friends,

I’m Akshay Kumar. I’m raising funds to support Youth for Seva (YFS) NGOs NMMS Scholarship Program.

Story:

Most children in government schools are first-generation learners & are not encouraged by their parents to pursue higher education. There’s a tendency to drop out of school to augment their family income.

To address this, Children studying in Class 8 can attempt the NMMS Scholarship test & bag a Scholarship. YFS engages volunteers to motivate & coach students to crack the examination. Since 2014, our NMMS coaching program has expanded across India with approximately 12000 students acing the exam & bagging the prestigious scholarship.

YFS NMMS Program Impact from 2014-2021

YFS's Goal is to reach out to 28000 students across India in 2023-24, and train them to attempt NMMS Exam through volunteer intervention across 900 schools.

45 YFS full-time coordinators across the country dedicate 5 months (July through November) to work with Schools, identify the students, recruit, train & coordinate with volunteers for the program rollout & implementation:

•YFS full-time Coordinators & Volunteers work with School faculty to pick students for training.

•Curate NMMS-related syllabus & distribute syllabus books to schools/ students

•Work with students to register for exams & get all documents ready (caste, income, etc.)

•Monitor the progress of the program delivery and provide necessary support to volunteers, faculty & students

Our Appeal:

Please support us in reaching our Goal - it only costs ₹6000 per school (including coaching materials, volunteer training, student coaching & mentoring, transporting students to the exam centre & program management). Your contribution can change lives for the better!
