The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted countries and businesses across the globe. While, we, being the privileged members of our society, have managed to bounce back post the Covid-19 pandemic, there are a lot of families whose earnings have been drastically reduced and hence children are unable to complete their school education.

The Rotary Club of Queens Necklace, Mumbai (RCQNM) is raising funds to support students from under-privileged members of the society to complete their school education. Many families are pushed below the poverty line and hence children are forced to contribute to family earnings and have dropped out of school. Our goal is to help at least 270 urban poor parents to enable their children to complete their school education. Each family will be supported with Rs 4,500 towards part of their annual tuition fees. This amount will be paid directly to the school on their behalf.

RCQNM has partnered with Kinnari Foundation for this project. Kinnari Foundation is a NGO which has been active in supporting the cause of education for the under- privileged children since 21 years. They have an established methodology of establishing the income level of the family, verifying the bonafide of the student, their education track record and ensuring that the fees are paid directly to the school.
