Fundraiser Ended! This fundraiser ended on February 7, 2023
My husband, Abdul, and I welcomed our son earlier than expected when I was rushed to the hospital after going into premature labour. Nonetheless, I had eagerly been awaiting his arrival and was overjoyed at the thought of holding my baby.
However, we never even got the chance to celebrate the birth of our son. He was taken away from us even before we could hold our little one in our arms.
“When he was born, he was extremely underweight. Weighing just 700 gm, the doctors soon realised he was unable to breathe on his own.”
Moments after his birth, he was rushed away to the intensive care unit.
I didn’t even get to see my baby once before he was taken away from me. Since then, he’s been in the NICU.
“Seeing my baby like this breaks my heart. Unable to breathe or eat, he’s constantly hooked to different needles and tubes. I can’t even imagine the suffering he’s going through, his tiny body is tied down and even if he struggles to move he cannot.”
The only sound that comes from his mouth are cries of pain. His whole life so far has just been agony.
Unfortunately, without this painful treatment, he won’t be able to survive.
I hate not being able to hold my own son. I haven’t picked him up even once since his birth. We are only allowed to visit him on certain days. It fills me with grief to be torn apart from my baby.
Yet, this is the only way he can be assured of a healthy life ahead.
For 4 months, we’ve begged and borrowed relatives, taken high-interest loans and sold off every last valuable item we own. Now, we have nowhere else to turn to as our child continues to fight for his life.
“Abdul is a coolie. His earnings aren’t enough to pay for our boy’s treatment. We need Rs 4.5 lakh ($ 6211.65) to save his life, yet there is nothing we can do to afford it.”
Now, your kindness is the only chance my baby has for survival.
Please, each donation will make a difference. Help us save our child. He deserves a chance to experience life.
Donate now and help our little baby recover.
