About the Fundraiser

Daan Utsav this year gives the form of giving so much more meaning. The Don Bosco network brings you “Back to School’ - an initiative by the Don Bosco Network to re-introduce education to the children of the marginalised and vulnerable groups. Don Bosco provides protective, developmental and rehabilitative services for the ‘young-at-risk' children with inadequate parental care. The pandemic shutting of schools and the lack of technology available to them, these children have been pushed back into a life of ‘child labour’ and deprived them of the only proper nutrition they received from the mid-day meal.

The organisation provides protective, developmental and rehabilitative services for the young-at-risk, i.e children with inadequate parental care; deprived of proper nutrition; excluded from education; exploited as child labour, among others. The slew of interventions by the organisation ensures that the at-risk population is timely identified and provided appropriate support. The rehabilitation process of each beneficiary is developed in consultation with the stakeholders – child, family, child welfare committee. The best interests of the child guides our every decision.

During this Daan Utsav, our call to you is to help us help these young ones find their hope in life once again and help rehabilitate them from the crises of education and health.
