Stop Child Labour. School should be their only Workplace.
We at Shuddhi NGO believe that we can really make a difference by uplifting lives of child labour rag-pickers, reduce waste going to open dumping, saving groundwater from waste leachate and providing job opportunities to local unemployed youth.
About the Campaign
Child labour is a serious challenge in India, where on historical grounds children have been helping their parents at farms and at other activities. It's a proven record that a larger number of India's child labor is employed in agriculture, and a fair number is working with manufacturing industries.
Children work in restaurants, hotels and shops but a huge part of child labor is involved in its worst form as many of them at a very young age of 5 to 6 years start working as rag- pickers.
The instrumental causes behind the increasing number of child labor are over population, illiteracy, debt trap and poverty etc. Waste/ rag- picking is considered to be among the most hazardous occupations but since these children are often self- employed and work with their parents, they are not considered to be a responsibility of anyone.
There are least efforts been done for these poverty stricken children rag pickers from our society.
What We Will Do ?
Project will help in removing child labour currently engaged in informal rag-picking business all over Delhi NCR and provide them free education.
We will focus on daily waste collection from residential areas, offices, and public dustbins, segregation and recycling of waste which will ultimately reduce the total amount of waste that goes to open dumping hence saving our environment and also reducing the increasing number of children rag pickers.
Project will introduce recycled products into the market that will save our natural resources such as trees, oil & natural gas used to make notebooks and plastic bags, which all-together will help us all to go green.

You can start contribution from as little as Rs.100.
How can I help if I am not able to donate money?
You can also help by sharing it with potential donors or in your social network like FB/Insta/Whatsapp & Email. It will also help our children in getting freedom from rag picking & child labour.
How Funds Will be Used ?
1. 30% of the funds will be used to begin collection and segregation of waste.
2. 30% of the funds will be used to transport and recycle the waste.
3. 20% of the funds will be used to educate child rag-pickers and provide them monthly stipends.
4. Remaining 20% of the funds will be used to undertake public awareness campaigns and production of recycled products such as Green Bags, Notebooks, Glass Bottles, Pens and Natural Compost.
