About the Fundraiser

Hello Everybody,

More information is available at http://chdtrust.github.io

Let me talk about cryonics and efforts to do it in India.

What is cryonics?

Cryonics is the low-temperature preservation (usually at -196°C) of people who cannot be sustained by contemporary medicine, with the hope that resuscitation and restoration to full health may be possible in the far future. As of 2014, about 250 people have been cryogenically preserved in the U.S., and around 1500 more have signed up to be preserved. In case you need more information about cryonics, follow these links

Importance.

Do you want to live forever? With current technology you can't but cryonics offers some hope. Cryonics technology allows your body to be frozen in liquid nitrogen. So that, in distant future when nanotechnology has sufficiently developed you can be revived.

Cryonics world wide

You want to be frozen using cryonics after death? There are two not for profit companies in US which offer this service. They are Alcor and Cryonics institute. Plus, there is one company in Russia called KrioRus. Apart from these, there are cryonics societies (which dont't offer cryonics services) in Australia, Canada, Finland, Italy, Spain.  In India there is none who offers this service.

Make in India

In India there are few websites and blogs discussing about this technology. But there are no companies or societies doing this.

Why Donate?

You should donate if

  • You want to support life extension research.
  • Help start a non profit cryonics society in India.
  • You don't want to be buried or cremated but preserved for future.
  • Help generate jobs

What money will be used for?

As of 2011, U.S. cryopreservation costs can range from $28,000 to $200,000, and are often financed via life insurance. KrioRus, which stores bodies communally in large dewars, charges $12,000 to $36,000 for the procedure

The money will be used for:

  • Research
  • Cryoprotectant solution
  • Liquid Nitrogen
  • Human sized Dewars
  • Storage facility
  • Transportation
  • Perfusion Equipment
  • Healthcare Staff
  • Legal help
