Protecting those who Protect us #COVID-19

Problem

Coronavirus - a pandemic that has brought our lives to a halt and forced us to stay inside our homes. Today if we are safe and reading this message, this has been made possible by thousands of people across India who are risking their lives every second on the front lines to help minimize the impact of Covid-19: our doctors, healthcare workers, the police and many more.

But, spare a moment to think about the safety of these heroes, who go out daily leaving their families behind, to save ours. Imagine the doctors who are working multiple shifts, away from their family without proper protective equipment, risking their lives.

• 50+ doctors in India have already tested positive for corona. 
• Recently, 11 nurses in AIIMS Delhi and 26 nurses in a Mumbai hospital tested positive as well.
• 95 cops in Mumbai tested positive . 57 year old head constable dies after battling the disease for days. 

Many hospitals are forced to put their doctors and nurses to risk in order to stay functional and continue treating patients. 

Our frontliners, our heroes need our help in this time of crisis. 

Who are we?

We, Enactus, IIT Delhi, are a student organization that helps solve social problems through sustainable solutions. We are a registered trust under Section 12A.

What are we doing?

We plan on distributing 1 lakh face Shields to our doctors, police and other frontliners free of cost. Face shields are essential Personal Protective equipment that should be used by healthcare workers and other frontliners while dealing with Corona patients. These shields protect the eyes, neck and face of the person by covering all entry points for the virus.

Our Workspace is operating keeping in mind the importance of social-distancing & a proper sanitisation process is maintained during the manufacture packaging. We have also generated employment for the factory workers who were left unemployed due to lockdown, thus helping them during a rough time.

Help us save our frontliners!

Being a student body, we have very little resources and funds, yet we feel it is our responsibility to ensure that our frontliners are protected while they fight against the deadly virus. And we need your help to reach the target of distributing 1 lakh face-shields across the nation very fast. We need to raise 40 lakhs to cover the manufacturing and distribution cost.

This pandemic has disrupted millions of lives. Our frontliners have shown great sacrifice and resilience in these times. Let's join our hands to help and support them through this. With every little amount that you donate, one healthcare worker can work without the fear and continue their battle against this virus, saving countless lives.
