Donate masks to the underprivileged and create employment for rural women

About the campaign -

This campaign aims to collect funds to buy masks from IVillage and donate them to 1500 underprivileged people in the rural areas of Rajasthan. 

These masks will be made by rural women in and around UP, employed by IVillage, and will provide them with an income that they need to sustain themselves and set them on the path of becoming financially independent.

IVillage is not just a social enterprise, it is a powerful idea that links the village to the global market. It endeavors to create employment and generate livelihood for the rural population with a focus on women, in and around Uttar Pradesh, India.

Their objective is to train, upskill and employ rural youth and homemakers in various aspects of creating quality products and services and taking them from the village to the world.               

They aim to empower rural women with the dignity to earn their own livelihood and to enable a successful and self-sustaining rural economy with its women at the center.

Due to covid -19, these women haven't been able to earn enough to sustain themselves. 

By donating a small amount of Rupees 20 you are not just providing someone with a mask but also generating employment and self-reliance for an integral part of our society, the rural women of India

About the masks - 

The cotton fabric mask costs Rupees 20 These face masks are made from two-layer of soft cotton fabric. It has very soft elastic ear loops for extra comfort. Mask is lightweight, breathable, and washable therefore can be reused.
