Help Ankita Mazumder to Empower Education and Environmental Awareness

Hi Everyone!

I am Ankita Mazumder , Finalist of Miss Teen Diva 2024. Miss Teen Diva is the national preliminary to the biggest international teen pageants like Miss Teen International, Miss Teen Earth, Miss Teen Universe and Miss Teen Grand. As we know Charity is the best reflection of beauty. I have taken an initiative to support Environmental Awareness and sponsor the education of poor kids.

The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically affected these children’s chances of education as well. The nation-wide lockdown has proved to be an additional financial strain on many families. In conditions wherein several are struggling to provide basic amenities such as food and clothing, education takes a back seat.

Inaccessibility to online resources and connectivity further impedes educational progress. Thus, now more than ever, it is of utmost importance to take a stand for literacy in India and help pull up our brothers and sisters across the country by providing them with the tools and knowledge to facilitate their learning as much as we can. 

Your contributions would help me secure a bright future for underprivileged children who cannot afford education. Even today, one of the major problems is rampant illiteracy in India. The literacy rate in the country stands at 74.04% (according to the National Census, 2011).

• 1 in 4 children of school-going age is out of school in our country 

• 99 million children in total have dropped out of school (Census 2011) 

• Out of every 100 children, only 32 children finish their school education age-appropriately (District Information System for Education (DISE) 2014-15) 

• Only 2% of the schools offer complete school education from Class 1 to Class 12 (District Information System for Education (DISE) 2014-15) 

• There are 10.13 million child labourers between 5-14 years in India (Census 2011) 

• India has 33 million working children between the ages of 5-18 years. In parts of the country, more than half the child population is engaged in labour (Census 2011) 

• 42% of married women in India were married as children (District Information System for Education (DISE 3) 

• 1 in every 3 child brides in the world is a girl in India (UNICEF) 

• India has more than 45 lakh girls under 15 years of age who are married with children. Out of these, 70% of the girls have 2 children (Census 2011)
  
  In today's environmental landscape, tree plantation and environmental seminars are pivotal for global sustainability. They combat deforestation, climate change, and biodiversity loss.

  Tree Plantation:
  Strategic tree planting fights deforestation, sequesters carbon, and enhances biodiversity. Community involvement fosters environmental stewardship and creates sustainable ecosystems.

  Environmental Seminars:
  These forums facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration on key environmental issues. Experts, policymakers, and activists discuss solutions and best practices, empowering action towards sustainability.

  Global Impact:
  The impact of these initiatives extends globally, from carbon sequestration to policy influence. They drive progress towards international environmental goals, fostering a sustainable future.
