Help Chetan Samariya, a student with autism, receive an equal education

Who are we?

My name is Abhigyan Doshi, and I am the founder of Crew For Change, I have a personal connection to this project, as a cousin of mine also has autism, and wanted to see just how many people I could help.

Our group Crew For Change is on a mission to help reduce the inequalities for children who require special care in education and to help combat the Sustainability Global Goals: Quality Health and good wellbeing, Quality education, reduced inequalities, partnership for the goals. We all have friends and family who deal with ASD and want to help more children who suffer from ASD receive the right education to fit their needs.

Our team

We built our team around this idea thinking thoroughly about what aspects we needed to spread our message. By doing this it allowed us to build a team using all of our strong points such as video editing or communications to make sure we all have the perfect synergy and can rely on each other for quality work. This means that there would be no gaps and we can create the best project possible relying on our strengths.

What we do

Our goal is to spread awareness in society through social media and other mediums, to teach people about how great of inequality children with ASD have in education, and to inspire people to create change in their local communities. This would allow our small idea to grow into a movement across the world.

Finally, we want society to be more accepting of people with ASD and through social media and such we will teach people how to be sensitive to people who live with ASD and allow them to fit into society more, instead of being cast out from society because they are different in their special way.

Our Mission Right Now

Our goal is to raise 2 lakhs for Chetan Samariya, a student at the Ahan Foundation, who is currently learning functional language, maths, and soft skills, costing 145000/-These skills will help Chetan to be employable after 3 years and help his family who is currently only earning 12,000 a month. Let us join together, and give Chetan the tools and support he needs to have a complete education and help him make his own difference in the world. How are we doing this?

We are partnering with the Ahan Foundation which is a school for kids with disabilities and is a school with many students who have poor financial situations at home. We will help students who come from low-income houses and work with them closely to give them scholarships and make them employable in society, teaching them functional language, maths, and soft skills.
