Help quality education reach the slums

Started in the year 2018, Prangan Foundation's Project Chanchalmann works for developing communities through education. Through our weekend sessions for kids, we aim at building their personalities and boosting their confidence in English. 

Beneficiaries:

We focused all our work on uplifting kids belonging to impoverished backgrounds. The financial conditions that our kids grow in force them to step up and earn. In most cases, education doesn't even find a place on their priority list. The kids who take up formal education drop out at a young age.

The Problem:

We are a 100% Crowd-funded organisation. When the Government imposed the lockdown, we were clueless about how to keep our sessions going. We hesitantly shifted to the online medium. We have been adapting to the changes since then. Of the funds you donate, 75% will be used for children and centre development. The remaining 25% goes to operational expenses.

With 85 students, 3 centres and 100+ volunteers driving a change, we are on our way to making education and learning accessible to everyone. That's the story of Project Chanchalmann.

Why do I volunteer at Prangan Foundation?

I started working at Prangan so that I can utilise my free time to help the underprivileged kids and put my knowledge whatever I have learned till date to impact their lives.
