1. Hi! I am a student of Science side in class 12th [Physics, chemistry and Mathematics with Computer Science] at the Walchand college of arts & science (Recently Completed my class 12rth). I recently got accepted at very reputed and prestigious ‘UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKEKELY’ for my Undergraduate studies in Mechanical [Aerospace Concentration] Engineering (Major) with Business Administration as Minors. My Course will began in October 2022 and I will be graduating in 2026 [Total duration of course is 4 years].

I am one of the 2500 people shortlisted from an outstanding pool of applicants that included students, professionals, entrepreneurs and inventors from all over the world. More than 50,000 people applied for School of engineering at UC Berkeley with less than 7.6% making the cut. I am attaching the admission letter from UC Berkeley for your reference.

Last Year I was also selected for Columbia University Pre-College Summer program by Columbia University, USA [Ivy League University], But I was not able to attend to my and my family’s Financial constraint.

About me:

I spent most of my childhood in Solapur, Maharashtra of India. I completed my Class 10th CBSE at KLE English medium school, Solapur and Recently Completed my class 12th Maharashtra state board at Walchand college of Arts and Sciences, Solapur. The problems which I faced living in Semi-Urban area were lack of opportunities to develop myself holistically, limited and traditional thinking of the rural people and scarcity of competitive people around. I acknowledged this fact and channelized the negative energy into my studies proving my score of 89.80 % in 10th and My 12th board results are not yet declared so far. I then had a goal, a goal to carry myself out of this place and earn one of the best colleges where I can compete and improve with my peers. Though I could not get into the college I wanted to, acing my scores in exams and getting admission to one of the best, most Prestigious, and one of the top public land grant research universities in the world is “The UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY” was a relief. From being a very short-tempered, Confused, and innovative kid, I went on to become an ambitious and responsible boy.

The initial days of High school were a roller coaster. For the first time in my life, I had more opportunities than I ever had before. All my seniors were smart and engrossed in multiple activities and clubs, all this made me slightly under-confident but I volunteered to participate in all of them. From there on, I never looked back and it was only growth and improvement for me. Why is this important for me?

I'll use the opportunity to:

Refine my STEM, innovative, out of box thinking, business management, public speaking as well as my tech skills as an Researcher, Entrepreneur, Engineer and Social worker[Environmentalist]: Since I don't come from a business or a Engineer background, I have invested and learned from all my own experiences. The exposure that I will get at Berkeley would improve me manifolds.

Network: I'll get to talk to, and possibly collaborate with the best minds in the world. Meeting the Professors, students and city people would enlarge my network.

Exposure and confidence: Your dreams become bigger when you are exposed to great things. America is the land of dreams. The mere exposure to the country's culture will expand my brain more than one can imagine.
