Help this transgender entrepreneur build a sustainable business

Toutestudio is an environmentally conscious social enterprise providing made-to-rent clothing and jewelry rental services to customers in a Bangalore’. All clothing are designed in-house and are plastic and synthetic free - www.toutestudio.com.

When Samyuktha, an ex-Amazon techie ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/samyuktha-vijayan-92736325) wanted to start up, she decided to start a company that is both environmentally conscious and also provides job opportunities to marginalized communities. As a transgender woman herself, she felt the transgender community in India lacks the skill and training to add value to the society. So as part of the startup, she hired transgender women and trained them in design, customer service, makeup service etc. and created job opportunities within her startup.

Toutestudio would love for you to contribute in this fund-raising campaign to support Samyuktha run her business and invest the profits into building a strong and skilled transgender community.

The funds will be used as below:

30% of the funds will be used to make new plastic free clothing that can be used to provide variety to customers who would want to rent from us.

30% of the funds will be used for social media adverstising and marketing so more people in Bangalore and elsewhere can know about our offerings.

40% of the funds will be used to hire more transgender people and train them in tailoring, design, accounting, social media marketing, makeup and hairstyling, customer service etc. this will allow them to take up jobs within Toutestudio or elsewhere. Some of the funds would be used for housing as housing remains one of the biggest issue for transgender people continuing in mainstream jobs.

The transgender community has faced this society’s discrimination for so long and this is now your opportunity to contribute so they can lead a dignified life like any one else.
