Today the entire world is going through a tough time due to this pandemic, especially the people who comes from the lower strata of the society. We at “Prayatna - ek koshish” a group of volunteers believe that its a great opportunity for all of us to contribute to the community we live in. Prayatna is an initiative started by a group of residents from the Lallubhai Compound in Mankhurd community its a rehabilitated community under Slum Rehabilitation Authority act (SRA) who works towards building a clean and healthy environment for the community.

We are working on a project where we are trying to provide basic essentials to the people who have been affected by lockdown period in our community like ration and medicines for the daily wage earners, construction workers and laborers who have lost their source of earning. Currently we are targeting 320 families from 4 buildings and need help in accumulating the following things: 

Ration for each family:

Rice 5kg

Dal 1kg

Sugar 1 kg

Oil 1 ltr.

Wheat Flour 3 kg

The cost of each family is Rs.550 to provide real essential needs to address immediate requirements.
