Support my efforts to raise funds for Habitat For Humanity, India during these difficult times
Dear Friends,
I’m Medha Yugshree and I am a student at Amanora School, Pune. I’m raising funds to support Habitat for Humanity India’s COVID-19 Pandemic Response and Stay At School campaigns!
About the Initiative:
The COVID-19 pandemic has swept the world, and amidst the lockdown, the people who are affected the most are migrant workers, people living with disability, Adivasi, and other vulnerable communities who have no safety net to fall back on.
Through the Road to Recovery initiative, Habitat India launched its COVID-19 Pandemic Response, distributing Hygiene and Family Essentials Kits and setting up Habitat Care Centres, serving 9,77,769 individuals.
Another fallout from the lockdown has been the digitisation of education, forcing many children from low-income families to forego their studies, due to lack of digital devices.
Habitat India’s Stay At School also battles taboos surrounding menstruation for school-going girls through Hygiene Kits, Counselling Sessions on menstrual health and hygiene, and building sanitation units in schools.
Your support will enable us to help Habitat India serve many vulnerable families struggling through the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring that children have access to education and girls can stay in school.
Help a girl Stay At School:
Hygiene Kit, Counselling Session and contribution towards a Sanitation Unit - INR 3400
Hygiene Kit and Counselling Session - INR 1400
