Hi, my name is Dhaval Rakesh Narwani, and I am urgently raising funds for my elder brother, Govinda Narwani, who is battling the devastating effects of Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS).

Govinda, a 31-year-old lawyer, was recently married in February 2024. He is now fighting for his life after being diagnosed with recurrent GBS, which led to a cardiac arrest and subsequent hypoxic brain injury. He has been in a coma and on ventilator support since early December 2024.

Timeline of His Battle So Far:

• 23rd November 2024: Admitted to Ashwini Hospital, Solapur with progressive weakness.
• 25th November 2024: Placed on ventilator support due to respiratory failure.
• 30th November 2024: Shifted to Chandan Neuro Sciences Hospital, Solapur.
• 3rd December 2024: Slipped into a coma following a cardiac arrest.
• 14th December 2024: Discharged temporarily to plan a shift to Pune, but financial constraints forced us to readmit him to CNS the same day.
• 10th January 2025: Underwent hydrocephalus surgery to relieve pressure on the brain.
• 21st January 2025: CT scans revealed ongoing challenges, but he has started showing mild responses to touch and sound.
• 29th January 2025: Successfully underwent thoracotomy and decortication surgery to clear out his lungs and address complications.

Current Condition:

Govinda remains in a coma and on ventilator support, with slight progress in ventilator weaning.

He recently managed to breathe independently for an hour, but lung complications have slowed further progress.

The recovery timeline remains uncertain, and his condition requires prolonged ICU care and treatments.

Financials and Expenses:

Expenses So Far:

• ₹4,78,231 - Ashwini Hospital (23rd Nov – 30th Nov 2024).
• ₹7,17,815 - CNS (30th Nov – 14th Dec 2024).
• ₹15,44,781 - CNS (14th Dec 2024 – 31st Jan 2025).
• Total so far: ₹27,40,827 (5L were covered by insurance).

Projected Expenses:

• ₹16,50,000 expected for the next month, covering ICU care, ventilator support, and treatments.

Despite pooling our resources, we are running out of funds to sustain his treatment. The total cost for his recovery, assuming no further complications, will exceed ₹40,00,000, and we urgently need your help to continue giving him a fighting chance.
