Help 9-Year-Old Siyoni Chavan Overcome Thalassemia Major!

I am Sushil Chavan, and I am reaching out to share with you a story about my daughter, Siyoni Sushil Chavan.

Siyoni, just 9 years old, has been fighting a relentless battle against Thalassemia Major, a genetic blood disorder. She is a bright, beautiful girl who is always cheery and wants to achieve great things in life. But unlike other children, this cruel condition has taken away much of her childhood and innocence.

Siyoni was diagnosed at a very young age at Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Ever since then, her childhood has been filled with hospital visits, needles, blood transfusions, medicines, and pain instead of happiness, school memories, and playtime. Every few weeks, she requires blood transfusions just to survive. Watching such a small child go through so much suffering breaks our hearts every single day.

As her father, I've done everything within my power to ensure Siyoni receives the best possible care. Countless sleepless nights, endless trips to hospitals, and heart-wrenching moments have become a part of our daily routine. The resilience and determination that my family, especially Vaidehi, has shown are remarkable.

Recently, the doctors informed us that a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) is the only long-term solution that can give Siyoni a chance at a healthy and normal life. The treatment cost is around Rs. 16,00,000, an amount far beyond what our family can afford. We are a family of five, and I am the only earning member. Despite working tirelessly and spending all our savings, we have only managed to bear around Rs. 1.5 lakh in treatment expenses till now. We have exhausted every possible source of income, borrowed money from relatives, and tried our best, but we are still unable to arrange the huge amount needed for her treatment.

Faced with this immense financial burden, I had to set up a medical fundraiser online to raise the amount required for her treatments. The truth is, I cannot carry this weight alone, and I humbly reach out to you and anyone else who can make a difference.
