We will be representing NITK among the top 132 universities in the world at ACM-ICPC world finals, to be held in USA.
Our team, “code_phoenix” from the CSE department at NITK comprising of Ajinkya Parab, Prabhu Dayal Sahoo and Yogesh Ghaturle and coached by Manu Basavaraju, assistant professor at CSE Department, has entered into the ACM-ICPC (Inter Collegiate Programming Contest) 2017 World Finals. This is a prestigious competitive programming contest organized by the ACM across the world. This year teams from more than 3000 universities spanning more than 100 countries participated in it and 132 teams from all over the world have been selected to the Finals. Our team code_phoenix is one of those. This is the first time that any team from any NITs has qualified for the World Finals. Only 8 teams from India and 23 teams from Asia have qualified for the World Finals.
The colleges that have qualified this year from India are:
IIT- Bombay , IIT - Indore, IIT - Kanpur, IIIT - Bangalore, IIIT - Hyderabad, NITK -Karnataka, CMI - Chennai, DAIICT- Gandhinagar
This year the Finals are held at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City, South Dakota, USA. The organizers have taken care of accommodation, food and travel within the venues and airport for the complete stay in Rapid City. We request travel support to attend the competition.
