My friend’s grandma is going through immense pain! Please help us get her back home!

Hello everyone, I am Vinay, and I have started this fundraiser to help my friend's grandmother, Subhadramma, receive treatment for Subhadramma is 85 years old and has led a healthy and active life.

She loves her grandchildren and has played an important role in their upbringing. All of us, who were her grandkids’ friends, knew her and were fond of her.

Last year, she fell in December and had a painful, tender patch on her skin. She was taken to the hospital for examination, where it was revealed that she was suffering from cellulitis, a bacterial skin infection. She immediately began treatments at the S.S. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Devangere. The doctors have suggested she undergo an operation and a skin graft.

This has been very difficult for Subhadramma as well as her family. Being so old, she finds it difficult to cope with the pain of cellulitis. Her family of six does their best to keep her in good spirits.

Cellulitis can be treated, but it is an expensive treatment. Vinay's friends have pitched in to help her receive treatment because her family does not have a working member. The family is doing their best to arrange the required funds—Rs. 2,00,000 (Two lakh rupees)—the estimated amount for her treatment. They have depleted their savings, having spent Rs. 50,00 (fifty thousand rupees) on her treatment.

The family's humble background does not allow them to afford this treatment. Friends have done their best to help them out. With all means of financial help exhausted, I have started this fundraiser, counting on the kindness of others to help Subhadramma receive her treatment. Though she is old, she has the spirit to live on and be a guiding light to many around her. She has loved and treated others with kindness, which is why I am doing what I can to help her.
