Fundraiser Ended! This fundraiser ended on April 30, 2022
The second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting deaths due to an acute shortage of oxygen-related supplies this April prompted us to form a task force, Donate Oxygen India. The task force was set up on April 26th, 2021 by The Amba Dalmia Foundation Trust, Keventers, Qause, Medulance, Letters of Love and several volunteers. Our objective is to tackle the problem at hand through solutions that would, of course, work on the immediate problem on a short-term basis, but also provide more long-term solutions geared at capacity building to ensure such a situation is never repeated.
We are all well aware that the primary need of the hour is oxygen. We have been working in tandem with Government Authorities to identify hospitals that are in dire need of oxygen and related supporting devices, as well as other life-saving medical equipment that are urgently required to provide critical care to COVID-19 patients and save lives. We have directly contacted these hospitals to understand the enormous challenges faced by healthcare professionals and have started the execution of a three-step plan to address these.
The Dalmia family, the Keventers Corporate Team and friends have generously donated close to Rs. 40,00,000/- towards this cause, and this figure is rising daily due to the overwhelming public support. In order to widen the reach and raise more funds, the task force has started a campaign on the popular crowd funding website, Ketto.org. The administrator of this campaign is the Amba Dalmia Foundation Trust, and the beneficiaries are those afflicted by the current wave of the pandemic.
Letter of love and Community Arts Network are coming together to organise an e-concert by 10+ global artists, for Donate Oxygen India. For more information, follow @donateoxygenindia on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
