“Ya Allah, please save my daughter. She is my first child, what would I do without her?”
Jannah Means "Heaven", as when their first child entered the world, their lives took a turn for the best. She was heaven personified, loved by everyone, spreading sweetness and positivity all around. Jannah made everyone smile.
Jannah was born after 4 years of marriage and they enjoyed their lives. Nasreena had just delivered a beautiful baby girl again. They named her Naiha. Jannah was very excited about her little sister's arrival and she played and pampered her all day.
Tragically, her family and her life are not roses and sunshine, as they face Jannah’s fatal disease together. She is 7 years now and yet she smiles through her cancer treatments every day since January.
How it started
Jannah began to have constant fevers. She had yellowish colour on her eyes, hands and legs. The usual cheerful Jannah was not the same. They took her to the hospital where her blood count was found to be low.
After running a series of tests, Jannah was diagnosed with Paediatric Myelodysplastic Syndrome, a bone marrow cancer that happens in childhood.
"What kind of test are we giving Allah, please guide us and save our Jannah."
She can be saved, but there is only one way. She needs to have a bone marrow transplant. If not treated in time, cancer can escalate in the body, further harming her system. Thankfully, her father has matched as a donor for her.
But the treatment amount is out of her parent's reach.
They are completely broken. Latheef is a driver who only earns eight thousand rupees per month.
The hospitalisation costs along with extra medicine have made it difficult for them to even pay for their own meals. They have another 10 month old baby to feed.
They need 45 lakh ($ 61913.97) for her surgery and it might cost more due to unseen complications.
Jannah is the embodiment of positivity. Her smile can brighten everyone's day. But that light would dim out if there is no one to help her.
Donate for her bone marrow transplant and do not let her smile dull. Help Nasreena & Latheef get their happiness back.
