My 15-year-old is on the verge of collapsing to cancer. Help us save him.

A young man in his teenage years- Niral has been suffering from sino-nasal cavity cancer.

With his face disfigured and his life slowly being oozed out of him, he has been fighting every day to stay alive.

This is his story.

Niral is the youngest in his family. He’s very bright and always did good in school.

During his preparation for the upcoming exams, Niral started to experience a lot of headaches and developed an itch around his face.

A few irritating weeks later, his face started swelling. The parents, increasingly worried, rushed Niral to the hospital where he was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in the left sino-nasal cavity.

For the family that had already been facing a lot of issues from the pandemic, this news was heartbreaking.

Not only was this an emotional issue, but a financial one too.

Niral’s father has been unemployed for over a year, after having lost his job during the initial lockdown. The family had somehow been surviving on his mother’s low income but the recent hospital bills had drained them of everything.

There was to be further heartbreak as the family later learned that Niral’s treatment costs Rs 15 lakh ($ 20243.61).

“It aches my heart to watch my son suffer and be powerless to do anything for him. How can I possibly arrange an amount this large for my son’s treatment?” cried Niral’s father.

Niral’s parents have been informed that radiation therapy is the only way Niral’s life can be saved. The doctors believe that delaying the treatment any further would be too risky and could potentially be fatal for young Niral’s life.

Niral has been suffering and persevering through a number of treatment procedures- fighting hard every day in order to try and make it to the next day.

The family has already sold all their assets and accrued debt from whoever would lend them any to try and save Niral, but they’ve now run out.

“He just wanted to complete his education and help support his family. Who knew fate could be so cruel to my loved ones,” cried Niral’s mother.
