Support Shai, Nanda and their Cats

Hi, I am Shai/Shalini; I am a 28-year-old trans-identifying person. My pronouns are she/they, and I am here with a fundraiser for my transition, support for my mother's health condition, my cats and to continue my education.

The collected funds will be spent on my hormone replacement therapy, my bottom surgery (Sigmoid Colon technique), my medicine for HRT, anxiety, depression meds, my dermatologist charges, and expenditure spent on my education, cat food and rations.

I have visited a psychiatrist to understand my gender dysphoria. After passing the MMPI/MCMI and ROR (optional) tests, I received my GID Certificate.

I am under psychiatric treatment for anxiety and depression, and in therapy for my gender dysphoria.

I have started my facial laser hair removal treatment. But for better results, I want to go to either Kaya or some of the best dermatologists. The dermatologist's charges are expensive.

I am on HRT, my body is changing, and hence, I will need funds for my gender-affirming clothes, if anyone can DONATE me female garments, be it Ghagra, Sarees, Dresses, One-Piece, etc.

Once on meds, I will be required to do my blood tests, such as CBC, Lipid Profile, Cholesterol, Liver functionality, Hemoglobin level, Calcium level, Sugar level, etc. I am required to do them (as I am currently on HRT) once every three months, and they cost approximately Rs.3k to 4k.

The HRT medication costs 1400 bucks a month now, but the cost will rise once I move from 2mg to 4mg, or 6mg of Estrogen and 100mg or 200mg of T-blockers.

I will also be seeing a good dermatologist for my facial scars and sunburns, hoping for better results. considering the speed of my fundraiser.

To raise funds, I have adopted various means; I have been sharing it with friends, requesting them to share it with their friends, DMing people personally, and selling my art and published books.

For years, I have thought about what it would mean to be a woman. For years, I have struggled to come up with the terms for accepting that I am a woman trapped in a man's body. For years, I was told I couldn't become what I truly wished I was born with only because society would shame my family.

Honestly, I would have still not considered it if not for the kind and generous people uplifting my spirits and helping me see a possible chance of living my life as a woman.
