Support women run open library for children

I am a doctor and activist who is helping raise funds for these women-run libraries in Bhopal city.

The open libraries operate under the name of "Savitri Bai Phule, Fatima Sheikh" (India's first woman teachers), in 10 different "impoverished urban settlements" of Bhopal city. The libraries are run and led by young girls from the community. Sessions related to various stories are conducted and discussions are held on various activities related to recitation and shared heritage. These libraries are being operated without any kind of financial support. In all our libraries, in total, 670 children study. There are now 260 books in all our libraries. Which we all exchange between our own libraries. For a long time, we have needed new books in our libraries.

The money collected will be used for -

1. Buying books
2. Buying rugs for children to sit on
3. Buying cupboards for the books
4. Paying living wage salary to the young girls who run the libraries

Helping such projects is so important, especially during the pandemic since education for many poor children has been greatly affected.
