Fundraiser Ended! This fundraiser ended on March 6, 2021
“I WAS 14 when I saw a couple of dogs in a tussle with a piglet, upon intervention I saw that they had chewed off one of the ears of the piglet and it broke my heart. The little piglet was scared beyond imagination but we took him to a vet and he was placed in a sanctuary until he healed.
At 18, I came across a man kicking a dog and I promise I had never felt more infuriated, naturally I got into an argument with him and his wife and went on to take up a case against him legally. It resulted in him apologising and feeding 50 dogs in my presence after which I withdrew the complaint.
In the fullness of time, my heart knew one day I was going to have an organisation which would consummately work towards bettering this world.
At 19, I knew I'd call it- Kind To All Kind.
I'm 22 now and here we are. I have an organisation now & we are fundraising to feed the hungry animals, treat the injured or sick and rehabilitate the needy.” says Vinum Gupta, Founder at Kind To All Kind.
One of Kind To All Kind’s favourite rescues: Chutki
Chutki was found at a roadside dhaba with a fractured limb by Sagar, a member of Kind To All Kind, she was taken to Dr Shally from SJs Petcare & Clinic in Gurgaon who put a cast on her fractured limb and advised limited movement. During this time, Chutki used to travel to Vinum’s workplace with her every day, playing around and getting to know 100-odd colleagues of Vinum. At about 3 months of age, she was adopted out to a woman in Delhi who returned her two days later saying “She’s noisy and too energetic” She then moved to a cat cafe in Delhi run by Vinum’s friend who further sent her out to another foster mom where she fell gravely ill because she was weak and winters were harsh!
Chutki had persistent diarrhoea and became anaemic, underwent a blood transfusion and had to be moved to the vet’s clinic and stay on critical round-the-clock care. She developed meningitis and started having seizures- as many as 1 every fifteen minutes! All this while she was unable to eat, move or maintain her body temperature so she was always laying on a heating pad to keep her blood flowing. With god’s grace, her condition started to improve just before the group members along with the vet would’ve considered putting her to sleep and when she was no longer required to stay under medical care at all times, she moved back in with Vinum, regained her health and became the natural, naughty self she used to be! By the time Kind To All Kind finalised a new forever home for Chutki, she stole the family’s hearts and became a part of the family. She now has a cat mom and two cat sisters named Kitty, Hazel & Koko.
Vinum alongside her family & friends have rescued more than 200 animals and have financed the treatment of 70 more cats, dogs, cows & pigs at ‘Josan’s Pet Clinic’, ‘SJs Petcare & Clinic’ and ‘Triguna Cat & Dog Clinic’ in Delhi-NCR who help them at subsidised costs.
