Help Simran Get this Life Saving Surgery.

“We don’t have the stomach to see our little girl wriggling like her body is on fire. She cries all day and night in pain. We want to relieve my daughter of this suffering, but I do not have a rupee to spare.”-Naseem, father of 8-year-old Simran .

Few days back, little Simran was playing outside the house when her mother heard a loud scream of her daughter followed by neighbor’s loud noises. She rushed outside and fainted seeing her daughter engulfed in flames. In few seconds, Simran’s dress caught fire because of garbage being burnt outside their chawl. Fatima, her mother was shocked to see her darling daughter’s scalded body and rushed her to the hospital. 

"In a split second my little girl went from being normal to bed ridden, her body has 50% burns and her entire lower body is charred. Her body is in severe shock. She’s being closely monitored due to the seriousness of the condition. If she catches even a small infection, our baby won’t make it. It’s crucial for her to stay protected from any danger in the ICU. Antibiotics and ventilator support are keeping her alive for now"- says a sobbing Fatima.

Just two days back, Simran ran a high fever that made her more critical.

Simran is responding well to treatment, before she developed high fever suddenly. The doctors at Family Care Hospital -Mira Road, Mumbai suspect that her burns may have become infected and have put her on increased dose of antibiotics. She was already weak when they brought her to the hospital, but now she has become worse.

Simran can go back to being normal with prolonged ICU care, but her parents cannot afford it.Simran is fighting a battle for her life, but it is not one that cannot be won. With proper medical support, including administration of antibiotics, nutritional rehabilitation and surgery, she has high chances of recovery. But the only obstacle is money. Naseem works as a taxi driver and earns just enough to feed his family, but he hasn't been able to drive the taxi as he is taking care of his daughter at the hospital round the clock. Now, he is in a very tight spot financially and has nobody to ask for help. He knows that his daughter’s life is on the line, and is scrambling for funds.
