Support TEAM VECTOR,the only team from NASHIK participating in ROBOCON
Team Vector is a coalition of students comprising of different engineering disciplines from K.K. Wagh Institute. Each member of the team is a robotics enthusiast with excellent technical knowledge and resource management skills. Team Vector Represents not only K.K. Wagh but whole Nashik at Robocon Contest at National Level.
ROBOCON is the largest Robotics competition organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Unit(ABU).
ABU ROBOCON has gained the status of biggest robotics competition with over 1500+ teams participating worldwide.
National competition this year will be held at IIT,Delhi sponsored by DOORDARSHAN.
The team winning the National leg of the competition represents the country at the International Level.
Every year, the contest has a separate theme. This year, the hosting country Mongolia has released the theme ''GREAT URTUU'' which signifies the tradition of messenger system in Mongolian history. By using the Urtuu system, a messenger was able to travel a distance of 400 kilometres per day.
Each team has to build 2 Robots-an Autonomous Quadruped(4 legged) robot and a manual robot. The Manual robot carries the message "Gerege" and goes through various zones and passes the Gerege to the Autonomous robot. The Autonomous robot then carries the Gerege and passes through various zones like sand dunes and mountain urtuu on its own. When the autonomous robot reaches the mountain urtuu, the manual robot should throw the "Shagai" into Landing zone. After acquiring a minimum amount of points by throwing Shagai, the autonomous robot is allowed to climb the mountain area and reach Uukhai zone. The first team to reach the Uukhai zone and raising the Gerege is declared as the winner.
A group of students formed Team Vector in 2016 and put in their efforts to prepare for Robocon 2016, at the competition amongst 110 colleges , the team secured 41st rank in the very first attempt. In the following years, team's performance kept on increasing and the team was even interviewed by Doordarshan.
So far,the team is almost done with prototype testing and is ready for the final manufacturing and implementation. We strive to achieve success and represent India at the international level. But this requires resources and money.
Our approximate budget for Robocon 2019 is ₹2,00,000/- which includes Mechanical components, motors, manufacturing, electronic components etc.
The Platform is set,Prototyping is done. We are ready for final manufacturing, but all we need is your Support.
