On the fringes of our awareness, hidden behind closed doors, live individuals whom society conveniently forgets. Among them are abandoned women, men and children with special needs – a group so often left behind.

In the midst of this oversight, U&I emerges as a force for change, working tirelessly to build an ecosystem and bring back these precious individuals into the fabric of our society.

What is U&I Care

U&I Care collaborates closely with four Government Homes in Bangalore, ensuring that residents inhabit spaces that are not just clean and hygienic but also nurturing to their well-being. Our dedicated full-time staff engages, trains, and nurtures residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and a variety of Domain-Based Engagements. This ensures that they are not just noticed but truly seen, heard, and able to live with the dignity they deserve. Engagements span across cognition, physical activity, social and emotional well-being, speech, vocational training and personalized therapies tailored to meet each individual's unique needs. Over the past eleven years, we've witnessed inspiring transformations – from individuals who were once perceived as violent, disinterested and volatile becoming engaged, purposeful individuals who cherish their daily tasks and connect meaningfully with their peers.

For over a decade, our volunteer-driven approach ensures that every contribution directly impacts those in need, creating a lasting positive effect.
