Profile of our NGO
Xtremely Young Zoroastrians (XYZ) is an organisation aimed at promoting togetherness and camaraderie within the youngsters of the community. XYZ aspires to mould the children between the ages of 5 and 15 years to become better individuals and inculcate the Zoroastrian values through fellowship and service activities.
PURPOSE
The purpose of XYZ is to build a strong sense of community belonging and pride in children. The religious practices are an important part of our culture and we want our children to start adhering to them from an early age and Make A Difference in society at large.
ORGANISATION
Leadership skills such as goal setting, decision making, team work, people skills, money management and ethics being very important attributes are inculcated through various activities at our centres. Our current centres are in Mumbai in Colaba, Tardeo, Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Bandra, Andheri and Thane.
XYZ has organised numerous events like outdoor sports, athletic meets, literary arts & fine arts, cooking competitions and talent contests, monsoon games, fitness activities, indoor games, quizzes, debates, summer camps, field trips, leadership camps, seminars and many other activities at a centre level for over 500 members.
JOURNEY
XYZ was founded on Saturday, 24th May 2014 and was launched on Sunday, 21st December 2014.
Service to society has been an integral aspect of XYZ and we strive to inculcate an Attitude of Gratitude into each one of our members and this gave birth to our catchphrase – XYZ is MAD (Making A Difference).
In 2015 we had an XYZ Blessings Bag activity, where bags filled with clothes, toiletries, biscuits; chocolates etc. were distributed to over 1,500 people on the streets of Mumbai.
In 2016, ‘XYZ Stepping Forward’ a shoe collection drive, took XYZ members along with their parents, volunteers and friends to 21 different locations in Mumbai. This resulted in a whopping collection of 12,199 pairs of footwear. The step forward was donating them to NGO’s like Hamara Footpath, Greensole, Goonj and also providing brand new football studs and stockings to over 400 children studying in municipal schools through Oscar Foundation along with 22 pairs of prosthetic feet known as ‘Jaipur Foot’.
In 2017, ‘XYZ Xtravaganza’ an Inter-Group Dance Competition was hosted with the main aim to raise funds for cancer patients and cancer care facilities. XYZ Foundation raised an impressive amount of Rs. 10,51,456/-, all of which was donated to cancer hospitals and homes, used in donating dinners and buying clothes for cancer patients, buying appliances, medical equipment and electronics and in supporting their treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital, KEM Hospital and helping NGOs like Happy Feet Home Foundation, PAL Care, SantGhadgeMaharaj Trust, Make a Wish Foundation, etc.
In 2018, XYZ raised funds to feed over 500 Mid-Day meals through the AkshayPatra Foundation.
In XYZ’s 5th year our MAD Initiative, called XYZ Vessel-a-thon took place on Sunday, 24th February 2019 where over 100 XYZ children along with their collected 14,758 vessels including pots, pans, plates, spoons, bowls, cookers, glasses, cups, tapelis, boxes, etc. and will be donating them to NGOs like Goonj, Hamara Footpath, Oscar Foundation, WWH Trust, etc.
At the end of 2019, XYZ Foundation raised over 15 Lakh rupees and donated the same to MANN Foundation and Ahura Support (Masina Hospital) to help take care of differently abled children.
One of the main aspects of XYZ has always been giving back to the people who need it the most. 2020 and 2021 were no different. XYZ is MAD (Making A Difference) was our priority ever since the lockdown was enforced.

In 2020...
The Daraius’ Daredevils donated essential equipment like masks, gloves and sanitizer to the Colaba police station. They also got food items and gave it to the migrants who were travelling back home because of the lockdown.During the scorching hot month of May,the DD kids made fruit flavoured drinks and distributed them to the security guards of Cusrow Baug.
The children from Jamshed’s Giants, Cyrus’ Superstars and Daraius’ Daredevils collected old toys and passed it on to Oscar foundation to bring smiles and cheer for many underprivileged children.
Jamshed’s Giants also helped migrants who were returning home in coordination with Step Up Foundation. The kids from JG conducted a bake sale and raised Rs. 10,000 for security guards and also collected books, food and clothes for Happy Feet Foundation to help children who suffer from Thalessemia Major and HIV.
Behram’sBattalion organised a funfair and raised Rs. 25,000/- which was donated to the WithArya foundation. They later collected over Rs. 50,000 to be donated for the Medical treatment for Er. Zahan Turel.
The Rustom’s Rockstars helped inmates of NAB Home for the Ageing Blind at Khandala by donating one month’s supply of food grains and necessities.The children and parents of RR raised Rs. 75,000/- and distributed approximately 1,692 kgs of total supplies and necessary items.
The Tehmurasp’s Titansstarted their social Service by donating 200 PPE Suits to the Holy Spirit Hospital in Andheri East. During Diwali, TT embarked on an initiative called “Khushi Ka Utsav” to spread festive cheer to 50 abandoned kids of the Asha Sadan Shelter Home. Funds were raised to donate utensils,food items and toys. Along with this, the girls from the Asha Sadan were invited to join a fabric painting workshop and gave them a chance to showcase their creativity.
TT also raised funds for the Samaveshi Pathshaala, an inclusive School in Karjat, where all kids with and without learning disabilities study together.All kinds of School items, including books, games, toys and a wireless Bluetooth speaker was donated to this organisation.
The Ketayun’s Conquerors gave bags fullof food items to various helpers in societies.
The Noshirwan’s Knights extended a helping hand to the helpless and the needy during the beginning of the lockdown. They raised Rs. 30,000/- which they donated to Shree Swamee Samarth Annapurna Math, an organisation which feeds the needy on a daily basis.
The Knights also raised Rs 15,000/- and made 100 packets of daily consumables and handed it over to Parsi Zoroastrian Anjuman of Hyderabad and Secundrabad to help victims of the floods in Hyderabad.
In 2021...
The Darius’s Daredevils did their bit for the environment by running an initiative to collect plastic packets, plastic covers and bags, which could be used to recycle and make useful items. Their collection of 20 kgs. of plastics was couriered to a Bangalore based NGO – Ekokari - Humanising Fashion to make beautiful shopping bags. In addition to this, they carried out a donation drive for B.D. Petit Parsee General Hospital and collected over Rs. 10 lakhs from well-wishers which was handed over to B.D. Petit Parsee General Hospital on XYZ’s foundation Day for medical treatment and equipment. They also donated 6 oxygen concentrators in these testing times.
The Cyrus’ Superstars organised a Stationery drive. Various stationery items were collected and distributed amongst less privileged kids of Angel Express Foundation, kids in rural areas of Ranala and Dahod and kids of Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Home at Matunga & Seva Sadan at Nana Chowk. They also managed to share stationery kits to 145 kids under 6 years from Balwadis courtesy Rustom’s Rockstars.

XYZ’s Jamshed’s Giants organized a cookie sale on Valentine’s Day and raised funds for the aged women at Shepherd Widows Home at Nagpada. Snacks and essential items such as bulbs and LED were provided to the inmates of the widow’s home. They also raised Rs. 1,60,800 for the frontline workers of Masina Hospital. As a part of XYZ’s social service initiative, Jamshed’s Giants collected sport shoes, jerseys and shorts for underprivileged children of Oscar foundation.
The Behram’s Battalion organized an ‘Each One Feed One’ initiative. Donors dropped off packets at the Dadar Athornan Madressa which were distributed to the underprivileged in and around Dadar & Wadala bridge area. BB also distributed 115 snack boxes to the police chowkis in Dadar and Matunga to appreciate the selfless work done by our policemen, to protect our society and ensure it becomes a better place to live in. ‘Donate To Educate’ was a donation drive to sponsor mobile phones to 38 orphans of the Nariman Parsi Zoroastrian Girls Orphanage and the Surat Parsi Boys Orphanage.
The Rustom’s Rockstars helped the NGO ‘Access Life’ by purchasing umbrellas from them which helped them make money and donated the same to another NGO ‘Setu Charitable Trust’ which provided the underprivileged children with bare necessities. Apart from buying these umbrellas RR further helped Access Life by donating Rs 15,000/-. Team RR also decided to felicitate our real superheroes. They organized a function for some of our frontline warriors like doctors, nurses, security guards, maalis and as a token of appreciation from their end, handed over a snack box to them.
The members of the Ketayun’s Conquerors got together with the support staff of their school for the Social Service fun day. They all gathered them under one roof and had fun with them. The KC girls served them with Gujarati snacks. The girls thanked the support staff for their undying support especially during the pandemic. After enjoying with them, they were given a box of goodies.
Samaveshi Pathshala believes in bringing systemic transformation in schools where all children irrespective of their social background or disability study together in the same classroom. The Tehmurasp’s Titans helped Samaveshi Pathshala raise funds to build 1 classroom through various activities like making food items, paintings, crochet, tie and dye t-shirts, etc and raised about 2 Lakhs. To add to this the BNI Group and Mr. Maneck Gupta from Viterra pitched in with Rs. 2 Lakhs each and now instead of 1 classroom TT will be able to help Samaveshi make 3 classrooms for these wonderful children.
Team TT ended 2021 by donating school bags to girls from Asha Sadan – a shelter home for girls rescued from abusive environments.
In 2022, we are working towards fundraising for the education and medical welfare of the widows and children of the martyrs of our Armed Forces while celebrating India @ 75 – Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
In June 2021, The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India gave approval to XYZ Foundation for undertaking Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Activities and can receive corporate funding for various CSR activities. In September 2021, we have also received approval from the Income Tax Department for our Trust’s registration under section 12A and under section 80G for 5 years till Assessment Year 2026-27 for all donations received by XYZ Foundation to benefit the donor with 50% deduction in their Income Tax.
