With more than 2 decades of inspiring work, Richa Anirudh's show 'Zindagi with Richa' needs support for a fresh season.
For almost 2 decades, Journalist Richa Anirudh followed a simple principle: Journalism is about the people. It's about the stories of individuals who define India's social fabric.
In 2007 when she started her show Zindagi Live on a national news network, it brought home issues that affect most lives but never really make it to the breaking-news obsessed news cycle. Her shows brought her viewers face to face with stories of personal struggles like senior citizens abused by their children, survivors of alcoholism and domestic violence. She inspired an entire generation of India to fight back when she interviewed those who overcame all odds to clear competitive exams and make it big in life. She enabled a healing process for a society struggling with poverty, depression and other social problems and the show won awards and appreciation from all quarters. She then brought home heroes and celebrities who chose different paths and re-invented human expression.
After a brief break, last year Richa decided to go independent and produce the show by herself! Season 1 of the show got rave reviews and was shared on social media by thousands of viewers, including Mr Amitabh Bachchan, Mr Kiren Rijiju, Mr Kumar Vishwas and a host of other individuals. She produced season one by using her own savings and you can see the inspiring results here: Zindagi with Richa
But to take this journey forward, she needs all of us to support her. Zindagi with Richa is not just a show, its a movement for all of us. It's a show that tells the story of citizens and not just those in powerful positions. Please contribute generously and help this show grow.
No contribution is big or small. If 800 of us could contribute Rs 1000 each or if 400 of us could contribute Rs 2000 each, we will easily be able to support the production and logistical cost of the entire season of Zindagi with Richa. Her show has helped survivors come out and give strength to other victims, her shows have helped everyday heroes continue the work that helps hundreds of people, the least we can do is to support the show till it finds its own feet in the market and becomes self-sustainable.
