The prospect of parenthood had brought joy and happiness to Deepa's home. After a challenging 10-year wait, she was finally able to conceive.

Excitement filled the air as the family prepared to embrace this new chapter in their lives. The parents eagerly anticipated the precious moments they would share with their child...

However, their happiness and celebrations were short-lived.

In January 2023, Deepa welcomed a precious baby girl into the world. The overwhelming joy knew no bounds as they embraced their little one. They eagerly anticipated taking her home and cherishing every moment with her.

However, as the days went by, Deepa noticed that her baby's movements were limited and not as they should be. The little one struggled to move properly.

Initially, Deepa held onto hope, hoping that things would improve with time. Unfortunately, the situation only grew worse.

The baby started to refuse feed and showed signs of significant weight loss. She appeared increasingly weak and frail.

Concerned for their child's well-being, the parents immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital. Upon arrival, the doctors prescribed medication and reassured them that everything would be fine.

Little did they know...this was only the beginning of their journey.

The baby girl was experiencing several issues, including:

- Weight loss

- Lack of movement

- Inability to feed properly

- Diarrhea

- Failure to thrive

In search of a solution, Deepa took her child to an Ayurveda clinic, hoping for a remedy.

Unfortunately, none of the treatments seemed to make a difference.

Finally, the parents took their baby to the Baptist Hospital. The doctors ran several tests and scans.

Later, it was revealed that their newborn baby was suffering from a genetic condition.

Gut malabsorption - A condition that prevents absorption of nutrients through the small intestine.

Unable to accept the situation, Sivakumar, Deepa's husband, suffered a heart attack. The couple was terrified and overwhelmed. They felt helpless and shocked, not knowing how to overcome their challenges.

The doctors delivered the devastating news to Deepa that her baby desperately needed a life-saving treatment. Without it, her survival would be uncertain.

However, the cost of the cure amounted to a staggering INR 6,00,000.00.

Sivakumar works as a cab driver, earning just enough to make ends meet. Their income is insufficient to gather such a substantial amount of money.

To cover the cost of the treatment thus far, they had to sell their belongings and borrow money. Now, they find themselves with no alternative but to seek your assistance.

Their daughter's condition is deteriorating rapidly. Your generous donations represent her only hope. Please consider making a donation now!
