Hit-And-Run Left My Husband in a Coma. Please Help!

My husband kissed our kids goodbye and left that evening like any other day. Just a few hours later, I got a call that shattered my world.

I’m the wife of Om Prakash, a kind, responsible, and loving man who has always put our family first.

On 11th June, Om and his brothers had gone for a small family meeting. A few hours after he left, I received a call—Om had met with an accident while returning home on his bike. We still don’t know exactly what happened.

The family suspects it was a hit-and-run, but there were no witnesses, no answers. All I knew was that he was being rushed to the hospital with a serious head injury.

When I reached the hospital, my legs were shaking. I saw him lying there—unconscious, bruised, lifeless. The doctors rushed him in for emergency brain surgery. He’s been in the ICU ever since. He hasn’t woken up. He hasn’t opened his eyes. He’s on a ventilator. And I haven’t slept since.

The doctors say the road to recovery is long and uncertain. Om needs intensive care and a prolonged ICU stay. The total cost of his treatment is ₹12.89 lakhs ($ 14973).

So far, our family has somehow managed to arrange ₹1 lakh by borrowing from relatives and my brother-in-law’s employer. But we are running out of time, and we have nothing left.

Om was the only one earning. Now, even my father-in-law, who runs a small shop, brings home only ₹14,000 to ₹15,000 a month—barely enough for food, let alone hospital bills.

We live in New Delhi with our two little children—our daughter Aruhi is just 6, and our son Arav is barely a year and a half old. Life was never luxurious, but it was full of love. Om worked hard to take care of us all. He’s not just my husband—he’s the strength of this entire family.

Since the day of the accident, I haven’t had a proper meal. I can’t eat when my husband is lying unconscious, and my children are crying for their father.

Aruhi doesn’t understand why her papa hasn’t come home yet. Arav keeps looking at the door. I don’t know how to explain this pain to them.

My sister-in-law is helping care for them, but my heart breaks every time I look at their faces.

Om is our everything. He is a good man, a great father, and the love of my life. Without him, we’re lost. I can’t imagine raising my children without their father. I don’t want to imagine it.

Please, I am begging you—if you’re reading this, help me save my husband. Your contribution can give my children their father back, and give me back the man who made our house a home.

We don’t have anything left but hope.

Please help us bring him back.
