Sasmita's family is not able to collect funds for the cost of her Spinal Cord Operation post her accident & death
raised of 4,00,000 goal
days to go
I am raising funds for the wife of a driver who works in my elder brother's office.
Sasmita Ojha is a 30 yr old woman with two sons (5yr & 7yr old ) and a husband who works as a Driver in Bhubaneswar (Salary - Rs 15,000 per month).
She met with an accident on 27th of January 2017 and had multiple vertebral fracture in the Cervicodorsal Junction. This paralysed the lower part of her body which required Spinal Surgical Stabilisation and Urgent Decompression as bone piece was seen embedding on the spinal cord. She needs special neuro monitoring and management which is only available in Apollo Hospital (Bhubaneswar).
Sasmita's family belongs to a economically backward section of the society and is not able to collect the required funds for her operation and recovery. Initial funds for her operation was contributed by my elder brother and his colleagues but with each passing day, the hospital fees for post operative care is increasing and it is getting difficult to continue her treatment.
We appeal to each & everyone through this platform to help us raise funds for Sasmita and her kids. Being economically backward should not stop her from living and should not result in the loss of a mother for two little kids.
Do contribute and spread the word.
Inspite of all the contribution and wishes from all of you, we were not able to save Sasmita's life. The initial fund for operation was raised by my Elder Brother and his office where Sasmita's Husband works. But Sasmita's body could not recover back from the post operative complications and finally succumb to the lungs infection which got spread to other body parts.
The funds which we have raised till now and the remaining amount too will be transferred to Sasmita's Husband Bank Account who is already under the debt of Rs 5 lac from various people which he borrowed for the operation. I am not sure if we should raise more funds for him which can help him and to raise his children in absence of their mother. Will update about the same after discussing it with her Husband.
It is tough to be a part of a lost battle but sometimes that is what we are left with. Thank you everyone for your support. Do pray for Sasmita's soul. May she rest in peace.
Do help in getting us close to our target and ask your friends to contribute for her family.
Did you know that every FB share gets 1 more donation.
