Capturing colours of life in Vrindavan to raise funds & brighten the future of the mentally challenged & underprivileged
I am launching this unique photo project to help an NGO working for the mentally challenged children. The project captures the colorful land of Vrindavan during the Holi Festival. This project will touch 25 lives, each presented as a split portrait telling its own unique story.
About the Beneficiary:- The NGO, Arjita Home located in Dehradun, India has been operating for over 10 years now. The NGO has never approached charity or donations in the past. But due to the aging interiors and increasing inflation, the NGO is now finding it hard to hire good faculties and maintenance. The NGO deals with children having mental disabilities such as: Autism, Down Syndrome, Slow Learner, Delayed Milestone, Hearing and Speech Disabilities and Cerebral Palsy.
The NGO currently provides free schooling and free stationary to those who belong to the poor families.
The NGO strives to use the money to hire more faculty, a school bus for children transportation, more free stationary and free schooling for those in need.
To make it simple this is how it will work:
We Raise Funds --> Excute,Produce and Deliver the Photo Project --> Sell the project images to raise more money for the NGO --> Helping the children eventually.
Below are further details:
About me: My name is Chris Rathore and I have been practicing fine art photography for over 5 years now. www.chrisrathore.com . I always wanted to do a project to help such children and I know I am ready to do this project for good.
Use:- The Photo Project
Stage 1: This campaign will help me raise money to arrange accommodation, food and stipend for the photography team and other burning costs. Although if we cross the goal (which we hope we do), any additional money raised will go straight to the beneficiary NGO; Arjita Home, Dehradun, India.
Stage 2: All the backers will get rewards in form of credits and/or physical print of the images from the collection. The photos will further go online for sale to raise more funds for the NGO.
The Team:- I am gathering a team of creatives who are complete strangers to me, but our motives make us one. I have published details online and whoever wishes to be part of the project can fill their details here: https://goo.gl/forms/PS8Ersqs3txcNx8R2
Thank so much for your support. I will keep updating the status of the project here to keep everyone up to date about what happens in the future.
