Fund 40 underprivileged Girls teams in School Football Championship, with opportunity to be scouted by Crystal Palace FC
Thank you so much, your support and contribution so far has helped us cross 60% percent of our target amount! Please help us keep the momentum going, so we can successfully fund all 400 girls for this upcoming football championship. Last date for donation is 31st January :)
Did you know that every FB share gets 1 more donation.
Help spread the word!
Simply said, I’m a Delhi girl whose passion for football drove her to playing for well known clubs like Tottenham Hotspurs FC (2013-15) and Fulham FC (2015-16), in London.
I have come back to India since, with the aim to use my experience on and off the field over these couple of seasons, to help make a difference in Girls Football in India. Since I grew up here, I know all too well the dearth of opportunities for girls. It was a struggle for me, especially those many years ago when I was growing up, to find a steady platform to play football. And so, while I continue my own football career as best I can, I hope to help create more opportunities for girls in India.

Intention behind this Cause:
As mentioned above, I want to create more opportunities for girls in football in the country. But also, having been a sporty girl all my life, I know the impact sports has had on my overall development as a person. And thus targeting girls from lesser privileged backgrounds not only provides them access to play competitively in football, thus furthering their potential in the sport, but also will help them holistically grow as individuals, imbibing qualities and life tackling tools, that only sports can provide from a young age. All of which will ultimately help them create a life of a better quality for themselves.
Just For Kicks (JFK):
JFK provides access to sports, in an organised fashion, to underprivileged children who otherwise have limited opportunities. It is a great platform for them to grow as players, and as people who can go on to achieve so much more than their limited environment would have otherwise allowed them to. And those who are passionate and show potential, are provided an outlet (through scouting and regular competitions) to further their skills and future prospects in the sport. Definitely proud to be an ambassador of this cause!??

The School Football Championship (SFC):
The School Football Championship (SFC) is an all India inter-school football league conducted in multiple cities that brings together a mixed-bag of students from top international schools as well as government school students, all under the same platform. The first edition of SFC took place in 2015-16 featuring 2250 kids from 200 schools, from which ten kids were selected through a technical partnership with Crystal Palace to train with in London. SFC is organized and conducted by a consortium of organizations like Soccer Connections, under the umbrella PSL India Pvt. Ltd. Just For Kicks is the social responsibility partner that brings their own partner-schools into the event.
Each year, all Just For Kicks teams participate in a tournament that is set up by them along with other organisations wherein the Just For Kicks teams come up against some of the most elite football teams in each city. This serves as a platform for kids to play a long league at the highest level while being part of a growing championship. During the championships, scouts from Premier League Crystal Palace, ISL club Mumbai City FC both scout for talented kids as well and provide them further opportunities.
Just For Kicks spends a significant cost in enabling each of these teams to participate. While the registration fee is INR 5000 for international schools, the costs are covered by Just For Kicks for all of its teams - it enables the child to participate in the league, get access to world class scouts, receive refreshments and food during playing period, and jerseys to play in.
I am hoping to raise INR 2,00,000 to support 40 girls teams from Mumbai and Pune i.e. 20 teams of 10 players each, from both cities, which means 400 girls in total! This will allow them to get the playing opportunities they deserve and any amount you donate will go a long way towards achieving this goal :)
